Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

I’m nostalgic about IPG’s benefit package.
Account people don’t live in the fear that creative people do. Every time I’ve seen mass layoffs at an agency 90% of it is creative. They just don’t feel what you feel, so of course they’re wistful for all the places they’ve worked happily with no fear. And no layoffs.
Clients SHOULD feel uneasy about this merger and what’s going to happen to their teams and their work. I mean most won’t see a difference since they just want fast and cheap work and care little about the creativity behind it. But for those that do want some insight beyond RTBs the clients should be making a lot more noise than they are currently.
To be fair, pre-krakowsky IPG was imo the most decent of the holding companies. Under Michael Roth they really tried to invest in their people, and did what they could despite having to feed the major shareholders, which isn’t an easy thing to do.
Agree
so did they know about the layoffs before they happened?
