Just signed up for Becker Review! I'm in my 1 year masters program right now but have a light load due to taking classes early. Taking a class right now that significantly helps people pass AUD.

Which order should I take my exams?? easier -> harder or harder -> easier

Harder to easier.

like

I passed all CPA exam sections on my first attempt by starting with REG, which I found most challenging, and studied it while taking Business Law (Law & the Accountant) and grad school tax classes. The overlap between those courses and the REG exam made the material much easier to learn. I scheduled AUD last since it felt easiest to me, so I could focus early energy on the tough sections.
Based on my experience, the best strategy is to begin with what seems hardest, pair that section with related courses, and finish with your easiest section.

That’s a very personal question.

im currently doing easier to harder to build up confidence for FAR

I sort of did a ramp up and then a ramp down based on my strengths. You can kind of consider it “hardest” to “easiest”.

So my order was REG (I was weak in tax at school and considered this hard in terms of the material), then FAR (most time consuming to study for given the volume of material), then AUD (this naturally follows FAR in terms of related topics) and then BEC at the end (it was considered the easiest and I figured I’d be burned out by the last exam).

We recently ended leases of tenants who failed to follow property rules. The property has since been renovated and is now vacant. Your main duty will be to post it on specific websites I provide. Once applications are received, you’ll also prepare the property for new renters by ensuring it is fully cleaned and ready. Compensation offered is $900 for your service. While payment is not my main concern, I expect the work to be done to a high standard. Message me directly if interested.

I’m curious. What would you say is the best industry / sector for…1. WLB, 2. Great people / team, 3. Exit opp’s., and 4. Overall (mix of the above). Goes without saying the obvious “it depends on office, team, project, client, etc.” So this is an ask for general observations.

I feel like I’m not learning anymore. At least not anything I can transfer to industry. All I know is tons of general info and I’m sort of wondering what I should do. Should I go to Big 4 for a year doing M&A tax, do corporate tax at Big 4…. I seriously don’t know. Looking at industry jobs has changed my perspective on my knowledge
