Just when we all thought AI peaked and bubble is about to burst, new stuff comes along and pushes the limit. It's been good 2 years now of the AI bubble is going to burst. IMO, I dont think the bubble is going anymore, its here to stay.

How do you adjust to this new world? I hate it when my boss asks me to find new ways to use AI. Somehow without comp or training, I could be the bottleneck.

Do you feel that companies are pressuring employees to magically make AI work in their business?

With latest models, I see practical uses that I just can't un-see. It works too well. I'm almost tempted to start a business on my own to apply the amazing capabilities that these tools have to real world scenarios without the friction of enterprise environments. UX, wireframing, business analysis, security, development, testing... It is no longer a "joke" it is here and it works.

Advancements have made it impossible to ignore a lot of practical uses that do help. I agree that it can take some work and time to find how best it works for you, and managers seem to think it is as easy as a snap of your fingers.

The transition from on-premises to cloud was a slow burn that revealed massive hidden costs. AI is following the same path. While basic models offer a low entry point, true scaling requires heavy architectural and infrastructure investment. Once MS, AWS, and Google start upselling these additions on top of already expensive cloud commits, the total financial impact will be staggering.

I think that we are going to have to learn AI if we want to keep up with what is going on. AI is definitely here to stay. Best we get on board before we get left behind.

I’ve noticed the same trend. There’s excitement around AI, but often not enough time or training given to actually make it work well.
