Global Employer Services (GES) Mobility Tax - U.K.
Enjoy my job immensely, been in tax for a little while now and would probably not change career. Always been interested in numbers and law. Plus my team isn’t so bad ha!
Room to grow and develop and the hours are pretty good (usually 40 hours a week on average).
Remember that people like to complain a lot more than they like to praise, especially online (Amazon reviews is a great example). For me, I greatly enjoy my job (TAS - Senior Associate). I think there's a heavy workload than if I had gone to industry, but I enjoy the work and getting to know a lot of smart coworkers and clients. One of the biggest benefits, which I didn't necessarily realize at the time, was that you get to see the decision-making and thought processes by a lot of individuals that are high up in an organization. Also, I am grateful that my Company has allowed our team to work remotely, as this benefit is something I never really thought about prior to Covid.
Tax partner at a large regional firm. Love the opportunity to help family and private equity owned businesses navigate the tax law and minimize their tax liabilities. Really feel like I make a difference and enjoy the relationships I have with each of my clients. Also enjoy mentoring my staff and managers.
I like to see people fail and become upset to boost my own morale
Hopefully not the people you manage though... 😂
Hated public, switched to IA. If I log off at 5pm, I’m the last one on. Strong recommend. >20% raise.
I also switched to IA recently. I haven’t had this much free time since college. It’s amazing.
