Yep just remember it’s temporary and extremely rewarding over the life of your career. It’s all about persistence. Anyone can pass that exam if they study hard enough and get a little lucky. You got this!!!
Gosh, I’m one test away from ending this CPA madness and my motivation is nowhere to be found. From what I’m going through, this is my recommendation: suck it up and pass that sh**. After you’re done with it, do whatever you want whether that means getting a social life and/or quitting PA.
That was me 6 months ago. But now I passed and am finally a CPA. I know it’s not easy but you’ll thank yourself for sticking out. Please don’t give up, keep going!!! It’s so worth it!
What’s your alternative, Plan B?
OP you made me LOL. It does suck, but it’s for a short time. I’d suggest finding an in person study group which will be somewhat motivating as you see other people are doing the same thing and maybe you’ll feel less deprived. Also, don’t work more than 40 hrs at work if you can help it (set good boundaries for a time so you can focus - it will pay off even if your current teams get a little annoyed...you could take PTO each week if needed and/or ask for an FWA if this is that big of a deal for you.)
Once you pass you get your life back. That should be motivating
Yup — took my 2 years from the time I started studying until being fully licensed. It’s a long commitment for some.
