McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

Got approvals already? Got a partner on the other side bringing you over? PwC, at least, has been less willing to second to other established markets like U.K. and AU because of the cost. More willing to pay for talent to go to emerging markets. If you have a unique skill set that the U.K. firm needs, that will help you. S& may be different but PwC makes international rotations and transfers far more difficult than they should be
I have a partner on the PwC sponsoring to do that for me (very senior FS partner). My deal is that they won't pay for a lot of cost (1 month accommodation etc.) Still working on the getting a PwC U.K. Partner getting me over. Have you done this before? Can we touch base offline?
Yep I just did a few years in AU. Had to transfer there and then back because the US firm wouldn't pay for the secondment. Happy to chat - let me know how to reach you
Maybe I'll create a temporary email ID where you can drop me a note - I'll get back to you on the PwC side?
Partner approvals on both sides are the first step. Then go through Global Mobility to execute. They have separate budget for visas, flights, accom etc so your inbound Partner won't need to pick up any costs - other than having you on their headcount.
