I have been doing lots of networking. These past couple of months I have done more networking that I have ever done and have been able to talk to many people. I have been able to grow my network and make connections that will help me continue my career.

I have used resume editing services. These are not great.

I am thankful for everything that I have in life. I am financially secure and healthy. Of course everyone wants a job, I know I will be able to find a job. There is so much going on in this world. I am not going to complain about my situation.

I worked hard to get into consulting from industry. This is all that I have ever wanted to do. There are people that have been in consulting their entire careers and then go to industry. For me to go to consulting after being in industry, I do not want to give up on consulting, just because of me being let go.

This is my experience:
I have been in healthcare for 8 years.
I have healthcare and life sciences/pharmaceuticals experience.
Less then 1 year of experience in consulting.
My skills are in change management.

Questions for everyone:

Is your firm currently hiring? If your firm is hiring can I network with you and talk about my experience? Even if your firm is not hiring would it be okay to talk to about my experience? I can continue growing my network.

Do you have anyone in your network that is in either healthcare industry or healthcare consulting that I can talk to and network with?

Besides networking and obtaining certifications, what else should I be doing during this unemployment?

I know a lot of firms have hiring freezes right now which I understand. I am going to continue networking. Me being new to consulting and not having much experience makes it a challenge to find another consulting job. I have been getting lots of rejections. I have gotten one consulting job before and I know that I am capable to get another consulting job. I am not going to give up. Everything happens for a reason. When one door closes another door opens. I know I will get another consulting job.

Hi OP - Just saw this. I am in Change Management Consulting and happy to help if you still need it!

If I see one more article on how millennials are ruining the economy or housing market by not buying enough homes or selling enough homes I'm going to scream. We were saving for 3 years before Covid and had to use a solid chunk to take care of ourselves and our families during quarantine. Now that we're ready to save again inflation and COL are at an all-time high and we're headed into a recession. And somehow this is my fault for what...not being a boomer? Bffr.

Who is currently hiring entry-level OCM consultants? My close friend studied communications and organizational change, but found their way into logistics. They are looking for opportunities and I think they would be a much better fit as a consultant. My company’s hiring cycle ended so I’m seeing if I can help point them in the right direction before next year. Appreciate any pointers on certs that might help too!
