Just initiated the conversation with Salesforce recruiter and other than some Industry focus for the Solution Architect - did not see much of a difference between the job descriptions for these 2 roles

This would be for L8/L9 level.

I am trying to figure out how to switch to SWE. I have a masters in civil engineering and have a good background in higher level math. It looks like the better coding boot camps are quite expensive. The alternative is another masters in CS which is the same cost as many boot camps. Any recommendations on picking between a coding boot camp and getting another masters degree in CS? I’m looking to get into the best position possible after getting an education in CS (get a job quick and good pay).

IBM has offered me X amount ctc and i accepted it on portal....now got to know that market valuation for 10.3 yoe is greater than offered ctc....can i ask HR to increase the ctc and change the band...will they consider it?...not holding any counter offer as of now

Anyone here struggle with drinking enough water every day? Growing up, I drank a lot of soda and fruit juices but since 2020, I’ve been trying to be one of those people who always has a water bottle. They say you drink some when you first wake up but I never have a taste for it and then never remember to start drinking until about noon.

After ~20-30 min on a call, I stop paying attention.

My Senior Manager quit on us a couple of months ago, now my manager just did as well yesterday.

I'm in a small firm, where there is no one with tenure anymore. The new Senior Manager just started and does not know the clients either.

Last busy season was hell because we were short staffed (only 3 of us), and I fear that next one will be even worse because we are in a market where we do not have a ton of people we could hire.

This feels like a new job and I'm not liking it at all.

Every other Friday, I got these farewell emails from my long-time colleagues. I am sad yet I’m too lazy to look for another job.

My managers/partners think that I love my job because I am a top performer and have always had very good work ethic, but the truth is that I hate what I do and have developed severe anxiety working in PA for over 2 years.

I recently quit my job. My VP was a narcissist and never really looked out for my upward progression even though he said he was my sponsor. Whenever I would do a solid job, he would always down play it or give the mid-level mgr credit even though other people / management acknowledged it. But we still got along. When I gave my two week notice, I did not meet up or talk to him (I cancelled a good bye 1-on-1 b/c I was over it) - sent a short thank you email instead and ghosted. Was this justified?

I have pretty bad anxiety to the point where it affects my job performance and will cause me to waste hours because I'm trying to cope with symptoms. I hate that xanax works so well and am terrified of getting addicted to it. Wasted 2 hours this morning panicking and thinking I was about to have a heart attack or something stupid, then I took a xanax and drank some tea and I'm super focused again and my productivity is way up. Anyone else take xanax? I usually only do like 2x a week.

Really sucks how unfair life can be

I work part time for a startup for equity and am attending an event on behalf of the startup. I’ve only been here a few months and asked multiple times to have a prep meeting with my boss. He instead sent me a 15 page document outlining 40 questions I should be able to answer the day before the event.
I’m so incredibly stressed as I don’t want to show up unprepared and make myself look bad. Idk how to make light of this situation at this point

He asked me out to go rock climbing one-on-one after we were texting for a while and I acted awkwardly when we went because I didn’t know if it was a date (nothing was explicitly said). Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand
