I have an offer to join a startup as an APM. The only downside is that the engineering team is located offshore in India. I’m concerned about the resulting impact because of 1) the potential late night calls 2) the learning opportunities missed by not working with a US engineering team (communication tactics, translatable skills) 3) potential exit opps into FAANG pm roles due to not having experience with an onshore eng team. The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Considering a move from NYC to SF and my office will be in Palo Alto. Any advice on potential neighborhoods to live in without needing a car? Want to negotiate salary at an AMLAW200 firm in atlanta. Not a lot of public information about what peer firms (ie, not NY lockstep firms matching cravath scale) pay. What are mid-senior level associates making in Atlanta?

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs.
