Today- boss opens firm despite corona positive employee while the rest of us are waiting on our results. Told me to learn how to do his secretarial work.
What do I do? I can’t quit without another job and I have only been here 19 months. First job I was only at for 9 months so I’m scared to apply to new places.

That is my cheapest option. However, if I refinance with a private lender to a lower interest rate, it will be $2k a month for 15 years and I’ll save like $120k in interest over the life of the loan. Has anyone refinanced their fed loans with a private lender? Should I do it?

Back in the job market , any tips for using this opportunity to switch to product management or sales . I have been throughly technical for my whole career . What is something your firm could do to boost associate morale and improve firm culture?

Thoughts on leaving biglaw to work as in-house counsel in a family small business? I’ve been a litigation associate for 4 years and don’t think it is for me (billable hours, work-life balance, etc.). The partner I work with wants me to dictate everything for the secretary to type. I feel that I am better at typing and more productive typing my work out. I have never dictated anything in my life and don’t think I would be very efficient or effective at it, I also hate the sound of my own voice. He keeps trying to push me into dictating but I want to type my stuff out, I do not think I am that slow at typing my work etc and I am getting assigned tasks done so I do not see a difference.
