I am beyond stuck in my first 1.5 years of my career.

I was over promised opportunities at my first gig and then Covid hit. Leading me to have no portfolio worthy pieces from this 💩 agency with nothing great in sight. (place hasn’t won a pitch in my entire time here + lost clients)

I’m juggling re-vamping my site and a side project to hopefully make my book more robust.

With no kind of leadership or mentor, I’m just figuring out how to dig myself out of this hole. Any advice for this chump?

I’m feeling anxiety about Coronavirus. Does anyone else think that the virus is being used by the government for population control? I don’t know if I’m paranoid.

Anyone looking at traveling to Costa Rica? They have a list of states from which they will admit tourists while also requiring a negative covid test, health history, etc. As someone not on the approved list, I am bitter and curious why the population is grouped at a state level when there are massively different rates of infection within each state (not to mention personal responsibility) and you are already required to present a negative test. Any idea how often those lists get updated?

With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. Any similar experience to share?

Why does fractional real estate have such a bad reputation? For context, have about 2 million saved plus house worth another million. Early 40’s. After 2 weeks they said Role no longer available. It was L5 supply chain role. This happened in April. Can I apply again in Amazon? I am currently finishing off my bachelors degree in Finance whilst working. I have decided to go back to study during covid. I do have 12 years experience in banking roles/credit assessment and more. Am really interested in investment banking and portfolio management. Will also be starting my CFA exams soon. Long story short: last year in Nov 2020 I accept an offer for concentrix but unable to join due to COVID situation and got approval from the reporting manager it was only for a week.
Now recently I got offer for concentrix pune but they are asking to continue with last package which is below the baseline for this process.
When I spoke to the HR he says it's the policy and nothing can be done.
I loved the process but it would be really hard for me with the package.
