After uploading documents in Bosch First Services one week ago, there was no update from them, when I replied to them via mail - They said we will get back to you.Is this sign of getting compensation breakup or they looking for other candidates.I have offer from CGI and only 3 days is remaining to accept. What should I do in this case?As CGI has said if you don't join after accepting offer we will blacklist you.
Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

Take the cash and have a plan to learn and grow but also have an exit strategy. This is a classic “B” job - it gets you from point A to point C. It’s good for a while but don’t be there forever
Thanks. I appreciate it. This new firm does have a practice in my desired area though, so my thought it maybe overtime I can prove myself and obtain the work there.
At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you. I have seen people do this and never look back. I would say take the role.
Thanks. Yes, I have had a friend say something similar. I need something more stable, to feel like I am part of a team, and the extra comp certainly would be helpful for my family. Trying to think about the big picture, overall.

If you just plan to use it as a layover while you continue to look in your desired practice area, I'd stay put unless you are absolutely incredibly miserable.
I'm pretty miserable to be honest. It's not just that I didn't get my desired practice area. I work with a lot of partners in multiple states with different time zones and expectations, completely different areas of law, and little to no oversight in cases I have no experience in. Some partners make completely inappropriate comments to me or about other associates or staff. The list goes on unfortunately. I was trying to hold out until I got that "right fit", but the market is not great now and I've had little luck getting transaction for the limited roles posted in my desired practice area because they all want someone with lots of experience. The new role is work that I do have experience in, so it's not like it's an area I won't enjoy. It's just not what I envisioned when I left law school, but as my current managing partner told me, "we don't all get to practice what we want."
