Every post on here from an LEK person discusses how miserable and overworked they are so… depends on how much you value your WLB
It's a different job between these firms. LEK post MBA is a team leader role which we don't train people well for so attrition is extremely high if you want to climb to partner. However that may not matter if you want to do 2 years and jump to industry in which case I would take 2 years as a manager at LEK over 2 years as an IC at EYP you can negotiate for better exits. Also practice wise Pharma and Industrials are stronger at LEK and TMT is probably stronger at EYP.
On the money here. I did LEK post MBA and while I hated it and got the hell out after 1 year, I might choose LEK over EY-P given what I got out of LEK. EY-P has a completely different value proposition in terms of what your position entails and what sectors are stronger. If OP gave a sense of what they want to specialize in, that might help.
EY-P burned a number of students / schools in the past 3 years by being unclear about FT start dates and pushing out by 3-6 months about 2 or 3 times with minimal compensation. For example, at my T10, only 1 or 2 people of 7-8 who accepted FT actually ended up starting at EY-P, and they started over 1 year after graduation
If I had to pick, I would definitely pick EYP. LEK is known in very specific sectors, whereas EYP will open relatively more opportunities.
LEK
EY-P, but I am biased :)
