Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. Folks who conduct interviews at FAANG level companies (behavioral and technical): what is it that you are “actually” looking for in candidates? I realize there are standards you’re making sure folks live up to, but is there ever a role that “gut feeling” plays in people you accept or reject?

I have not been brought up religious but I am beginning to think, I’d like to have faith in something. Doesn’t need to be dogmatic, but having a foundational belief in good things to come is probably essential and for someone like me who needs to work so hard to be happy, I wonder if being a part of a spiritual group can help. Does anyone have recommendations for what I can look into? I get there are many churches but has something helped you guys?

My project manager has cancelled my leaves which I planned 2 months in advance and approved for the person who is very close to him (Chaatu). Hello, I am currently having 6 years of experience in US Taxation in Partnership(1065) Federal. Currently I am in the position of Assistant manager, I have cracked the interview of a few Big 4 companies.
Whats the Fixed CTC should I ask for?

I got a call from KPMG HR for the role of Associate consultant in research team, When she asked me about the expected ctc, I think I quoted less than the market standards but since I am underpaid currently so the amount I quoted was 40-45% hike on my fixed. I have experience of 2.9years
Can anybody please suggest if I clear their interviews will they consider increasing CTC from whatever I quoted becase upon searching for ACon roles they pay much higher than what I quoted.
