I have observed that people on testing domain or frontend are getting better pay than other new tech domains like blockchain, cyber security, data sci etc(4-11yr exp) .
For less than 4 years experience new tech job gettig good pay but others getting very less.

In dev job Java, spring r etc getting better pay. Also some SAP consultant are also get paid high.
Is exp people in testing/frontend dev are less due to which they getting better pay than others with experience.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Folks, one doubt..... I was hired as a senior consultant in dec 2021. I did not nominated for grade change till now. Will they automatically consider me for grade change or do I have to expicitely talk about it with PC ? Also if grade is changed, how is the impact on salary considering the parity check ? Right now I am at 25 lakhs with 8.3 years of experience.

So had my first interview in one of the big 4 but it got me completely off guard. First one was call screening and then a technical interview. Now what I didn’t expect is rather than technicalities they focused on the consulting a lot more. Now the role that was marketed was technical/Architect and they even said that in current capacity you’ll work here as a technical person. I don’t think it went well. Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

Often people double book and it feels like “ my meeting is more important that whatever you have booked time for in yours”. If both meetings are same urgency/importance - what’s the best approach ? How long does it take for bonuses to be paid out after your performance outcome has been communicated at other firms?

Our comp system is slightly complex so we know promotions Dec-Jan while bonuses are paid out late Feb-Early March (aka 2-3 months)
