Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

It wasn't working too much that got me ahead, it was being friendly with the right people. Having a good rapport with my bosses, and being loud about my accomplishments has gotten me much further than I think long nights ever could have.

👍
Both. It’s been intentional behaviorally and serendipitous with opportunities. I used to make career plans, but I found that I consistently underestimated my growth potential, and I got the best results when I took calculated risks opportunistically.
The intentional behaviors included continuously working to build skills for the next level up, saying yes to opportunities, especially when they felt like they would stretch me, and of course being a top performer in my current role.

Great points. Thank you for the detailed answer.
Little column a, little column b. I've always had a rough plan in mind, but I've also stumbled into my fair share of good luck along the way. I'm not quite where I want to be, but all in all I'm happy with my career to date.

I like this and i feel like this is my situation as well
Little things matter the most, but mostly even if you plan something well, it is not always that it will go as planned.

Every place I’ve worked so far, if you take on more than you’re entitled to do, you won’t get compensation for it. Being a company man has never been lucrative, only abusive. I just got my first raise this year that was more than 3% and it was barely more. 3.5%. The only recognition you get is a pat on the back and maybe a “good job” if you’re lucky. Now, I even work more directly with the vice president of the company at times and still no glowing appreciation.
