I got an offer from Aptiv for $100,000 + 5% annual bonus + $2,500 signing bonus. This is a new grad role for Algorithm Engineer located in Los Angeles, CA.

5 years post-MBA and all my classmates are VPs in industry or Principals in consulting/IB (some are even Partners/MDs already). I sat in the same classes with these folks for 2 years — probably outperformed some of them academically. Yet, here I am continuing to struggle with my student debt payments, hoping that “Uncle Joe” forgives 20% of it. So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?
