Looking for advice on how best to break into PE ops. I’m a Sr Director at a tier‑1 strategy firm (heavy operations/supply chain, buy‑side integration, value creation) and I’m targeting either: (1) portfolio operations at a small/mid‑market fund or (2) VP/COO‑track roles at PE‑backed portcos. For folks who’ve made a similar jump, what networking routes and types of firms would you prioritize first?

Anyone have multiple FT jobs? I'm looking about to land a new primary FT job, as my current job is very very slow, doesn't really have any projects for me, and could end at any time (with a 30 day notice).
Where there any legal issues? (The two companies area in different industries so no competition). How did you manage both? The new company knows I'm still employed, should I quit the first or keep it as long as I can manage both? Any bad vibes or feelings of unprofessionalism? TIA

Guys i am switching jobs for first time so need your help
Company x offered me 9 LPA
Company y offered 11 LPA

I want to join company x more due to their tech stack, culture etc. It's also an established product based company while y is service based.
How do I initiate negotiations with x? I have plenty of time left in notice, but x also requested to join early (if previous company releases, with buyout+bonus) for which I have discussions next Wednesday.
