Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?

I have no idea what rabbu is, but there are different models here.
Some folks will focus on immediate cash flow. Others on long-term value. Others on market segment. Also think about if you actually want to manage this type of thing or if you'll hire a company.
Personally, I like to focus on high end (but not luxury) rentals for early-career couples. They are stable, have enough money, stand by commitments, etc. But getting those units in the first place is capital-intensive, and the goals are long-term.
First question is “what’s your budget”?
Also, are you planning to use the property occasionally? Or is this strictly an investment property? Are you planning to self manage, or are you going to hire a property manager?
The short term “boom” is long over, and most “good” markets are very saturated. Your best bet is to find a market where you can enjoy using the property when there are vacancies so you can get some value out of the investment. Plus, since you have to spend 100 hours AND more than anyone else in the first year to show material participation, having the property in a location that you enjoy being in will offset some of the annoyance of being there a lot.
You should invest in commercial real industry. You can invest in income generating properties like hotels, serviced apartments etc. You get to own shares in these properties and make profits from the proceeds of these properties as revenue without the hassle of operation or tenancy huddles. It has been working for me for couple of years now.
I would be interested as well to get to know these companies and how to get started
