Looking for support group. Is anyone interested in starting a LinkedIn/other support group? I moved to a new city, and started a job at a tech startup. It has been so overwhelming, not necessarily due to work, but co-workers that I absolutely cannot relate to because I am not rich and did not go to Ivy League Law schools. Everyone gets along just so naturally and bond over luxury cars and gifts from their families for down payment for houses and I feel so lost and out of place.

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. What was your experience with the LSAT? Do you think it's gatekeeping, preventing students who can't afford it (often people of color) from entering the field? OR is it helping future attorney's of color by giving them a chance to go to a top school regardless of grades? I've seen questions about the LSAT all day and just want to know how people feel.

Are y’all finding your white male bosses to be incompetent as hell or is just me? And they will milk you for all your brilliance and try to squeeze every ounce of labor out of you.

My work quality is slipping due to brain fog and mental health issues and I don’t know how to address it with my firm or who to go to. Kind of a quick rant. I did a quick search through some firms websites because I am thinking of switching jobs. It is definitely clear most firms still do not embrace diversity. I know diverse applicants must be just as qualified! So what is keeping attorneys of color out?? It’s so discouraging.

Anyone feel like your job sees you as "one of the good ones?" It hasn't explicitly been said, but I'm one of the only Black attorneys at the firm and I think my white colleagues and partners see me as an example of how Black folks "should be" cause I mind my business.
