M🐠 here trying to get light twists or something similar with some texture going. I’m having a hard time getting it to work well using leave in conditioner, curling cream, and hair sponge. Any guidance, resources, or tricks I can try? I really want to get away from the clean fade and brushed look that I’m used to.

Okay so! I’m a guy and I have curly hair - I interchange between two products or sometimes I do a combo of them. However sometimes my hair dries so nice and my curls look hydrated and shiny and then other times it dries and it looks like legit moss, does anyone know why that is? I have been straightening my hair with a flat iron forever and as a result, my hair stays straight even after washing.

I desperately want to be able to wear my hair the way it grows from my head but it is not possible. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Do I have to just cut it all off and start over?

My blowout shrinks so fast. I would like to use a flat iron to help, but I've never used one before. Would straightening it at 150-180° even do anything? I don't want heat damage, so I don't want to go above that.

I have really fine hair and have been using a mayo and egg mask very two weeks. That and using a some hair oil from CulturedTresses has really thickened my hair. Is every two weeks too much protein?
