So I have a meeting with a company tomorrow to get their official offer to be a BDR. It’s a tech company in PA, relatively LCOL area, their revenue is around $3-5 million a year. I have about a years experience. Any idea what I should expect? I know there’s a base and obviously bonus + commission but I don’t know the split %.

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

I heard from my head that there is a lot of slowdown in VW Germany... There is Hiring freeze, level freeze and all ... And soon that will spillover to india. So be prepared for very less hikes in coming cycle :( Also automotive sector in general is struggling with tesla laying off 10% workforce recently. Maybe time to make a move? What do you say fishes?

With 13.5 Lpa currently i’m at 12 and made switch on march.
Though my current company is an mnc but not that big and no work pressure is there, amazing work life balance. However, there is little to no learning and its very slow, the project is just starting and the client itself is not clear what they want. Do you think I should switch just because its a big 4. I’m a newly graduate from a community college. My program of study was Health Information Technician. I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. My preference is to remain with Deloitte and transfer - can Deloitte put me through without the lottery? Are there stipulations such as minimum tenure or degree types etc?

I can't tolerate disrespect for law enforcement. Some cops are bad, most aren't. So whether it is a friend, a relative, or even my boss, I won't just sit by if they try to convince others that police departments should be dismantled. It's unthinkable

Working on a regular desk and my laptop has been killing my back and neck for last few years. Finally spent a couple hundred dollars on a standing desk, wireless keyboard, and back/neck heating pad to alleviate the pain. Very hopeful working will be much better now.

I flunked out of school and had no options when I joined the army. I hated every second of my time in, and spent all my weekends getting as drunk as possible.

Now that I’m out, I graduated with my BA in Econ, got a job I love, and somehow got into an M7 Bschool with a 670 GMAT. I look back on my time in and laugh, and still talk with some of my old army buddies (though not as often anymore)
