My friend was fairly high up at Starbucks and was one among many to leave from the team they were on due to a lot of people who lacked leadership skills being put in leadership positions. Not every intelligent person makes a good leader.

I read that initially as “outed”, rather than “ousted”. Like some sort of scooby-doo reveal where they pulled the CEO’s mask off and it was a McKinsey consultant all along.

We obviously see snippets but his mistakes seem modest compared to the Nike CEO’s mishaps and he is still in his place. That guy apparently has (had?) no grasp of genuine consumer fundamentals
