I try beer cleanse. Works really well
A3, the food pyramid is bullshit and no kinesiology program with dignity would teach it. A juice cleanse is not healthy, even for just a few days. Substitute cold-pressed juice for your first two meals of the day and then eat a substantial dinner. This intermittent fasting can be very beneficial for your digestion and metabolism, but skirting food entirely for several days will not.
I was a kinesiology major. Juice cleanses should not replace your food. You will actually send your body into a state of starvation (ketosis, specifically) which will LOWER your metabolism and make you gain weight instead of shed it. It has a huge effect on your cognitive function as well, as your brain desperately needs adequate glucose and healthy fats. Try doing juice only for one or two meals (max), but make absolute sure that you have one real, solid-food meal.
I had ordered mine before I started with this client so I got to check a bag this morning loaded with juice. Sigh.

Yup! Did a raw detox at a juice place near client site each day they made us our juice for the day fresh. Was only three days
Or, shocker, try having a balanced nutrient intake and practice portion control and get up and walk more. Juice cleanses weaken your body. You will lose precious protein stores (the muscle you actually have) way before your body taps into its fat stores.
@A2, a juice cleanse for a few days is fine. My sister studied kinesiology and they were still teaching the US food pyramid nonsense. Have to look beyond DC lobbyists.
I've done it and was fine, hard part is saying no to team lunches/dinners/drinks in favour of cold green juice! But it's only a week, and I could still focus no problem at work.
