Men who wear lululemon pants to work - what’s the best one? There are so many variations of the ABC, commission, etc and I don’t know how to choose which one. Buying as a gift. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Commission and ABC are equally comfortable. Commission is more professional looking.

like

They are so tapered - is that what the kids are wearing these days? Not being snarky - I legitimately have no idea.

COMMISSION HANDS DOWN

like

Commission Slim is as close as you'll get to being virtually indistinguishable from dress pants, minus a design seam on one leg that you can only see from the back. ABC is definitely more casual.

like

Commission pant slim. ABCs make my junk too prominent

funny

^this is real I had the same issue lol

This really isn't an answer to your question but if you use an amex card they just added a new offer for Lululemon lol. Just incase it works for you!

like

I just looked and can’t find it :(

I wear the ABCs - they have a little more casual look with the 5 pocket style. The commissions look more like dress slacks.

like

Thanks everyone!! I will go with the commission. One other question if anyone knows - are these ‘hemmable’? It looks like they don’t sell black in the 30” length, only 32. If I buy 32, do you think they’d look fine hemmed? Or is there anything specific about the ankle seam that you wouldn’t want to cut off?

like

Make sure you find your size in store, and then order online because there are alllllll the colors online. I've had my ABCs for 4-5 years now and my Commissions for 2-3 years now, they still look good as the day I got them. All my pants prob got over 200 wash/dry cycles too 😂

like

I prefer commissions. More breathable and comfortable

like

ABC but also check out Vuori. It’s $25 less and they always offer like a 20% coupon online if you give your email. Also, I actually prefer them.

like

Commission

Commission slims. Curious though: What colors did everyone here get?

Navy grey black olive

Messed up at work and got hard feedback from my boss over email. I spoke to my boss about it and she said we’d discuss the feedback this coming week and to have a good weekend and don’t worry. Looking for advice on defending depositions. I am a first year associate and am defending my first deposition next week. I reviewed the prior transcripts from this case, and there were objections to what seemed like proper questions. Is there a strategic reason to object beyond improper form? For example, if my client is asked something that could be harmful (or at least make us look bad), should I just object? Very worried this transcript will be ex. A to pltfs’ MSJ because I didn’t object 😅

How to deal with people flirting with you at work.
I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go? It is mostly just odd I’m not super offended, but I’m also clearly uninterested!

Hi. People Manager here. I've been one for 12 years now and I encourage my team to not be "yes" people. At this time, it feels like my manager wants me and my team to be yes people for her. Since we returned to office in October, is it appropriate to give holiday gifts to team members?

I need advice : My Manager wants to Propose to me a new work schedule for shifts where I only work in a fixed day shift , because I argued that Night Shifts gives me health complications as I don’t get enough sleep almost none at all during those weeks with Night shifts. Even though his proposal is attractive in a way I don’t want to throw away the amount of extra income I get from the shift rotation., which I highly need. How do I refuse this offer politely and smartly?

Small firm (my boss, me, & a paralegal). After a hearing I did not handle, boss intended to seek review of the ruling in its entirety. What was communicated to me by paralegal was to seek review of a portion.

Seeking review is now time-barred. Boss is not upset, but this is 1 case & 1 problem. There are other cases & other stories.

How do I talk to my boss about being more present (boss is never in office, has “too many” emails, never answers his phone) without being seen as insubordinate?

I’m trying to break my lease. I have notified the management company of my intent to do so in writing. They are just refusing to respond and keep ignoring my follow-up emails. Do I have any recourse? Can they physically bar me from leaving?

PS: I have legal cause for being able to break the lease and I know that there is zero legal recourse they have.

How do you think about carried interest as a factor in total comp? Getting 69bps (memelord GPs) in a $420M (see above) fund, which vests over 8 years. It’s a new fund, so won’t be paid out until liquidation 5-7 years later.

Assuming I stay at the fund for two years, and the fund returns 3x, that’s 300k (obviously subject to big change depending on my tenure & returns). When benchmarking against other offers, how should this be valued? Is TC 450k (300k salary/bonus + 150k carry), or less?

How many of you here are from Audit and Tax? Which are the consulting posts do you relate to?

I joined EY a year ago as a senior and am very fed up with my group. I work on short-term projects with very scrutinized budgets, yet my utilization is supposed to be 100%, so my hours are scrutinized by the teams I work with and leadership. It feels like it's all they care about. Has anyone moved firms due to such reason?
