I get it.. sometimes the demands can feel like a lot, especially when things are already going well. It’s natural to feel conflicted when everything seems fine on paper but still doesn’t feel quite right. I think it’s less about entitlement and more about wanting to protect your time and peace. Balancing work and life can still be frustrating, even with great perks.
Sorry are you upset about your situation? Sounds like a sweet gig, not sure I get this rant at all.
When you get another job….. can you refer me to yours?
I feel this deeply.
and i just find myself annoyed by reasonable asks. I'm hybrid...was fully remote since before pandemic but now 3 days, now they're going to ask us to meet our scheduled 9-5 in office... my commute with traffic is less than 20 plus parking time but my kids bus is sometimes late... no real micromanage but now being asked to accelerate timeline of reports...still reasonable asks but it just bothers me.... just give me a paycheck and go away... individual contributor and teammates mind their business.
Anyway my rant that regardless of how good we have it, we're never satisfied.
I saw a post/meme that said
”Shouting ‘what the F do you want?!??’ at my computer when I get an email in the middle of a Tuesday directly related to the job they pay me to do”.
And honestly, I felt that. Sometimes the little stuff can just be frustrating even though it’s reasonable. The older I get the more irritated I am with mild inconveniences. Something tells me it’s only going to get worse the older I get.
I feel like I'm not being paid enough but then go back and forth in my head about it because I have kids and have to be in and out a lot, but work from home to make up for that. And have done a lot of work that we just can't keep up with bc he doesn't want to hire anyone else. But then I see some job posting that is at least the title I would use to search salaries and it's less than I'm making. That one post can take me back down.
It’s possible to be unhappy in a cush job. Maybe you’re unhappy or bored and the irritation at reasonable requests is the result. I’ve had a few nightmare jobs in the past that I reflect back on to help me appreciate decent work situations that are nevertheless annoying me in the moment. Checking out some job listings and deciding that they’re not better opportunities than my current role also helps.
Yeah I think that's what is.... I'll do the same should help to put it in perspective
I want to work with you.
I think OP is trolling us. I do a lot more for less money in a pretty stressful environment. If this is serious please let me have your job!
Not trolling lol...
