Sex and children are what separate marriages from roommates.
Some would say the same about shared finances.
Communication, partnership, trust and intimacy are the major factors in making a marriage work. For me sex is an important part of intimacy. I think it comes down to sexual compatibility - meaning that you have similar desires and frequency, if that doesn’t match someone is going to get frustrated in the relationship and usually it’s both parties
'Kinda', sorry
It’s how ppl show or feel connection to each other
From my perspective the obsession with sex as being the difference between a marriage and room mates is emotionally backwards. Intimacy is critical but does not have to lead to sex, emotionally stability and support are essential parts of a happy marriage, with a healthy dose of compromise.
Do you mean w each other?
Yeah
Depends on what you’re willing to endure.
Ouch.
What do you mean by modesty apart? Like you are worried about seeing a partner naked?
haha
It depends on the sexual compatibility of both partners. If both partners have an equal drive, then the sex component of marriage is merely a byproduct. But god help those marriages where the drive is mismatched. This causes resentment at such a scale that the marriage suffers insanely. Both partners start hating each other and the relationship survives solely because of other factors such as children or the cost of divorce. Married life as it is has more hiccups than a normal relationship and resentment causes these hiccups to multiply manifold. Lack of interest in sex on one partner’s part can cause the relationship to spiral downwards pretty soon. People should seek professional help if they feel unfulfilled but staying in a unsustainable marriage is one of the worst things that can happen to you.
