You can still apply for mid jobs and just tell them your story. You’re in a better position than, say, a junior who is trying to inflate their experience.
You got a promotion without a pay raise? Your agency finessed you.
Then don't say you're a senior copywriter on your resume. Problem solved. My resume only says "writer" and I still signed two senior copywriter freelance contracts this year. All I care about is much they're paying me and if the work is going to give me a headache.
This is very humble of you. I’ve worked with creatives who have 3/4 years experience as a mid and don’t get why they aren’t an ACD. If you stay a little longer (6months- 1yr) and get some good portfolio work, this could actually work to your advantage you will have “proved” yourself in that role and can apply to Senior roles woth senior salary. Many hiring managers won’t care about how many years total of you’ve proven yourself in a role/title.

Well, if you got the promotion, use it to your advantage -- look for new gigs as a senior and letting companies know you're a recently promoted senior. At least you won't be lying an inflating your title/experience.
The job jump as a senior will be a bigger pay jump than any raise your last job could've given you.
Promote yourself as mid looking for sr. No one needs to know your internal level.
if you’re not using your current company as a referral just don’t mention the promotion, list the role you were hired for.
Did your boss force you to change your LinkedIn?
No? Then just keep calling yourself mid level and get on with it.
