Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

There used to be nice periods of the day to drive to work and avoid the rush, but now in Michigan traffic is persistent from 7:30AM until 6:30PM. It’s a drag.
Driving used to be a perk of life. Now I hate it, I’m ready for robotaxis to get me to work.

Yeah my morning commute starts at 6:25 am and so i get to work at 7 am but then, no one only works 8h so i am sort of forced to be there until 3:50-4 pm and it is a mess by then
Tesla FSD, makes the drive comfortable and relaxing.

Yeah i have it but I am still fully responsible for the drive... it does help a lot
i recently took an offer and started last week. I knew it was a long commute based on the distance but i underestimated the traffic in sillicon valley. It took me 1.5 hr one way and worst in thursday. I was drained by the end of the day and thinking to quit, although its a hybrid position. Lesson learned, dont apply a job that has long commute.

That sounds awful. Sorry to hear.
I’ve avoided looking at roles that would require a long commute for this reason. I’ve never had a long commute—max 30 mins, but I’ve suspected it would absolutely drain me. Thank you for confirming.

Yeah it can be terrible
Those types of jobs were even more common before COVID. As a consultant, I would normally spend 90-120 minutes on the road, each day. It absolutely drained me.

Yep
It depends on the time of the commute. I had a 20 minute ride in but the way home was an hour due to rush hour. One week I had to leave an hour early every day for family obligations and saw my commute home was 25 minutes, so I told my boss that he could fire me if he wanted, but I'd be leaving an hour early from then on. So much less stress!
I offered to start earlier, but that was worse, so I took the pay cut.

Interesting. Yeah my morning commute is 32 min in average but the afternoon is the killer
Yeah when I bought a house my drive went from 20 minutes to 45 each way, sometimes an hour after 4pm.
The worst is that everyone’s on the road now at all times. If I have the chance to leave early at 2:30pm, roads are already packed almost as bad as 4PM or 5PM.
I would take a robotaxi for commuting to work if it was available.

Yeah, that is terrible. Hoping for autonomy as well.

I agree, my limit is 40 minutes and I don't really enjoy that. Is there anything you can do like listen to a podcast or call friends that would help you feel like you're using the time more productively?

I am trying podcasts but i already finished my abs favorite: Unsolved Mysteries... nothing i have found in the field comes close to the level of detail and narration
