My long term mentor cut me out abruptly. No reason whatsoever. He lives out of town. Prior to ending the mentorship, I had emailed him that I would drive an hour to see him when he’s in town. His assistant was in copy. I didn’t think it was inappropriate but now I am second guessing whether that would be considered inappropriate or too casual? We are both married and I would never want to cross any line or be misconstrued. He’s been super helpful to my career. Any thoughts?

BUT .. I’ve applied to a few companies and getting no responses. Is it a deterrent for hiring managers/recruiters that my experience is based primarily at one company?

I’ll start hooking up with someone with no intention of dating them because of red flags, but if the sex is good I want to lock it down for the future (even if we are not compatible in our personality, I’ll start to see them in a positive way and flirt more since it makes the sex even better)!
