My manager quit and told me over a call on Monday. The next morning, HR reached out—I felt the ground shift. I’d only been there four months, trying so hard to prove myself. I met deadlines, stayed ahead, did everything right. But she never wanted to manage me, never gave me a chance. Said it was easier to do it herself. It hurts. It feels like no matter how hard you try, this industry breaks you down. I’m so tired of pretending it’s not toxic.

I’m currently an LLC and looking to assemble an equity deal with an advisor. I don’t know how to set it up with him where he gets his equity in the future when we restructure the entity to a c/s Corp and give out his shares. It doesn’t make sense for us to switch now and get double taxed when we haven’t lifted off the ground. This is pre launch. Any advice?

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?

Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?
