My monstera plant has a lot of long roots compared to the amount of leaves it has. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve seen other monstera plants and the roots seem more manageable. I know it’s supposed to mean it’s looking for humidity but I water it every week when the soil is dry, it’s in direct/indirect sunlight… If I cut these roots, does it die?

I have a large collection of live houseplants but I wanted a large (5’) fake plant for a place in my house that gets little to no sunlight.
