Nearly 2 years ago, I began as an Admin Assistant. Two months ago, I reached my goal of becoming a Legal Assistant—but it’s been overwhelming. No proper training, my mentor went on leave, and I’ve been managing a full caseload with no raise. Upper management knows, but the stress is nonstop. I’m close to resigning. If you’ve faced something similar, how did you handle it?

Gosh, I'm really sorry to hear that. I've definitely been there. For me, it really helped me to set boundaries. If I didn't know how to do something, I just simply wouldn't do it until I was trained on it. And if they got mad at me for it not being done? Well, then maybe they should train me. I'm not going to spend 10x longer figuring it out without training.

First off, I give you so much credit. I initially wanted to become a legal assistant and failed miserably because I was juggling a lot of "life things" at the time, but I know how much work it takes, so lots of respect. Secondly, if management knows and is doing nothing about it, I'd start putting feelers out to see what else is out there. Sometimes that gives you the motivation to move along, or it does the opposite and makes you want to stick it out and stay.

Need advice. Very Shy guy and girl, met a while back for a side hustle both like each other a LOT, relationship has progressed in other areas but not in the physical realm, primarily because neither officially asked the other out. Guy is a very rough around edges, asked for a date by saying ‘anytime you need breakfast or lunch, let me know’. I am an independent gal and didn’t like the way it came across. I really want to take this forward but am out of ideas on how to make a date happen.

Feeling burnt out and unmotivated with agency life. Throughout the past year I’ve been added to a variety of “problem accounts” with challenging, disorganized and rude client contacts. Since then, it feels my teams have dwindled and I’ve been left to pick up the pieces / manage it all. I’m struggling to feel inspired and am starting to dread my work. Any tips for how to initiate account changes without sounding whiny? Or - any tips in general?

Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?
