But the support they give is worth the money, you can schedule 1:1 people, who are actually working in big companies and you can request TA help anytime at any day to understand the concept again.
You can have mock interviews with techies on any topic.

Anyways depends on one's opinion

like

Best thing you can do is use the syllabus from scaler listed in the website and create your own content from free available resource.I dont think one need to speed 3lakh for a course.
You can use use educative. io for handson on python, sql and ml system design.

Books to follow and read cover to cover in order mentioned : 1.handson ml with sklearn and keras(Note the ml and dl from appliedaicourse mostly matches with this book) ,2. Approaching Almost Any Machine Learning Problem-Abhisek Thakur.
This will take 6-8 months to complete.
Finally register for ineuron interview preparation will be rs3000 and mock interviews, more 2 months.

Great Man, being a Data Scientist myself this is a great process which you mentioned

I’ve been part of Scaler’s program, and honestly, whether it’s worth ₹3L depends on your situation. The curriculum, structured learning, and mentorship are good — especially if you struggle with consistency or need guidance for DSA, system design, and interviews.

In my case, the placement support and interview preparation were helpful, and it played a role in helping me move closer to opportunities. The mock interviews, resume reviews, and company-specific preparation are where the program adds real value.

That said, the content itself isn’t “magic” — similar concepts can be learned from online resources at a much lower cost if you’re disciplined and self-motivated. The real value comes from structure, peer group, and placement ecosystem.

So it’s worth it if you need accountability and career transition support — not worth it if you can already self-learn consistently

As a Scaler learner, I can say that this course is very well structured and comprehensive with all the assistance provided. All you have to do is work hard and attend lectures and complete assignments on time. Rest Scaler will take care of. Overall I would say its worth joining given that you are hard working.

I joined scaler as Fresher in DSML which has almost same amount,
i dont know about other platform but for me scaler was good investment, learned and most importantly i cracked one internship and one fulltime role from scaler career board, idk should i give credit to scaler, myluck or hardwark i did on scaler,
mentors are nice, monthly reviews are there if u mark less they will reach out and ask for problem and reason behind that,
and they are easy to reach, and during class you get doubt session so if u have any question u can ask during the class with voice turned on or by message too,
so yeah it may b expensive compared to other platform in market but for me i think it was worth it!

From my experience, the quality of content which Scaler has is at par. I was from non technical background and the modules placement and the pace at which modules progress helps one to gain grasp of concepts easily if you are also a beginner. Ofcourse lenght of the curriculum is bit extended but you can target data analytics roles once you complete 6 months into the course because you are now eligible for placements. They have mock interviews for one to practice as well. If you are someone who want the good content quality, Scaler can be the suitable option because they teach end to end. There might be many other platforms providing similar content may be at a discounted prices than Scaler, but I know the content quality wouldn't match to that of what Scaler provides. For me content was more important than anything and I was okay with the charge I was asked to pay provided what I am getting in return. If you have concern about the lenght of the course or the cost of the course then you can look for any other alternatives.

I joined Scaler's DSML program to strengthen my understanding of data science and machine learning, and it's been a worthwhile experience. The structured curriculum made it easier to stay consistent, and I liked that the focus was on building strong fundamentals instead of rushing through topics.

The assignments and projects gave me opportunities to apply what I learned, and the mentors were helpful whenever I got stuck. I also found the peer community motivating, especially when preparing for assessments and discussing different approaches to problems.

Overall, the program has helped me become more confident in concepts like Python, SQL, machine learning, and problem-solving. There's definitely a lot of effort required from your side, but if you're willing to put in the work, Scaler provides the right structure and support to help you grow.

I won't go for it personally. Lot of quality data, tutorials, blogs, videos, repos out there. if you know how to sail through it there is no need to spend single rupee.

Pros:

Top-tier instructors who have actually built the systems they teach (Uber, Facebook, etc.).

Weekly 1:1 mentorship sessions are a goldmine for career advice.

Very relevant curriculum including GenAI and MLOps.

Cons:

Very fast-paced; missing two weeks of class makes it hard to catch up.

Premium pricing compared to other online bootcamps.

Overall: A solid investment if you want a structured pathway to Data Science. The placement assistance is genuine, provided you finish your assignments and maintain a good PSP (Problem Solving Percentage).

don’t think I’m the right person to judge whether ₹3 lakhs is “worth it” for everyone. That depends on individual expectations, background, and discipline.
But I can confidently say that joining Scaler is worth it.

Yes, the syllabus is available online and you can study from other sources. But what truly differentiates Scaler is the quality of trainers and depth of teaching. You don’t just learn what a concept is—you learn how it works, why it works, and how it is actually implemented. Understanding the internals makes real-world implementation much easier, and that depth is a huge differentiator.

Many people know the topics. Fewer people truly understand them well enough to apply them confidently in real scenarios. That’s where Scaler helped me the most.

The monthly modular tests and continuous hands-on projects enforce consistency. You’re not just watching videos—you’re building, practicing, and validating your understanding regularly. The evaluations tell you exactly where you stand and where you need to improve.

The mock interviews are another big plus. If you genuinely work through the case studies with understanding, they significantly help during interviews by making you more structured and confident.

Along with the curriculum, you also get access to mentors for one-to-one guidance, which becomes extremely important when you feel stuck or directionless. Having someone experienced to guide you at those moments really makes a difference.

Coming from a non-development background, after one year of this journey, I can honestly say I am a much stronger version of myself technically. My understanding today is far deeper, and in many areas, stronger than people already working as analysts or ML engineers.

Can you achieve all this without Scaler?
Yes, absolutely.
But Scaler smoothens the path. You know what to study, how to study, and in what order. The only requirement from your side is trusting the process and staying consistent.

If you are ready to give your efforts, it is worth more than anything else.
Opportunity cost is something that everyone should consider too.

One salesman was trying to sell me this scalar course. When I said I already work for one of the corporate giants as a data scientist. He asked me my salary. When I told him the range, he went on to actually say that you earn less, our course will help you double.your salary etc. When I said I am happy with my work and my salary, he had no argument.

Remember, nobody can sell you something you don't need without first making you feel inadequate or incomplete.
