I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Hi Mentors, seek your advice. I have done civil engineering + Project Management. Currently I'm working with project management team as planning engineer in a real estate firm.
Now I am willing to switch into Consulting domain but not getting any leads, also daily I'm applying n numbers of company on LinkedIn, Naukri and Indeed but not a single light of hope I'm seeing.
Can anyone please guide me, how should I approach to a company. It'll be a great help indeed Jacobs CDM Smith JPM
Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

I don’t think it’s required. Only in FAANG companies, system design will be there and no coding rounds.
Even I have noticed the same. I recently received a few calls and they are specific about certain technology, though I had been a techie in a different technology. They didn't call me back !!
Nope, there is no hard and fast rule that a PM should aware of coding. But remember a PM should have Technical Awareness.
I agree with your observation. Mostly product companies are expecting Managers to be hands on. Other companies expect exposure to tons of technical skills which is not possible without being hands on. In one interview I was asked if I could sit with a developer and resolve coding/memory issues. What rubbish?? Is this what they need delivery managers for? They should first decide what they want- tech lead/architect or delivery manager. This industry is full of interviewers who don't know what to ask / what to look for, while taking an interview.
May be, Some AWS basics and Cloud knowledge ( not expert level) might help . We got to be competitive!
