First go through the internal project interview then client interview if not selected then again tons of interview.Why they people take interviews at the time of hiring.
I am feeling depressed now.
In this tough time where companies are firing their employees, i am not having any project due to this pissed process in nagarro.
Joined on 1sep 2022.One more interesting fact giving interview in zs associate account(contractor) I never want to work as permanent.

What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?

I have joining in ibm on 29th of July. Today I got a call for project interview, seems it’s a support project and I am not ok with it.If I mention like anything like not interested for this project will it affect my joining? Please let me know. They have scheduled interview on Friday. IBM

But I’m over it in a sense that I just don’t care, “hey, you’re paying and you want that...instead of this better idea/execution? cool.”
I’ve just done a lot of bland b2b stuff lately which is easy enough and affords me time to do more creatively fulfilling side work. But even that is getting pretty mentally taxing as it tends to turn into two full time jobs. Don’t really know what I’m getting at posting this, just wanted to share I suppose. My face-to-face contact where things like this would naturally come up with colleagues obviously isn’t there anymore.

Im feeling 100% the same way, but mostly because the “fun stuff” that always used to justify the long hours are disappearing.
Cannes is overrun with clients. Shoots are 14-16 hour days with zero time to rest. Salaries are slowly falling. Holding companies continue to work their people to death.
I really enjoy this job when it’s good, but the good is becoming more rare. Time to start living.
Yea, I feel you for sure. It helps that my CD has a very dgaf attitude, but will also turn around in complete hypocrisy last minute when things are due. I honestly love my team and the environment we’ve established, but the work has been very dull lately. Company has honestly taken very good care of us during this disastrous situation we find ourselves in, and I know I owe the company nothing, but I find my myself in a good position even though I’m not thrilled or producing the best work.
The lows are lower than the highs are high.
And the lows tend to stick around, when the highs float off like a feather.

Ditto. And honestly, it’s more fulfilling. I save my extra boost of energy for things outside work (namely, a spouse now 🎉) , and I get much more fulfillment-return-on-energy there than I did from work.
Understand the role your job is there to play, then optimize for that, and everything else falls into place much easier.

Lol I feel this way and I’ve only been working in the industry for 2 years. I’d take a guaranteed bigger pay check over the empty promise of better work any day.
Yea, it’s good to come to that realization early, but can be deflating, and drive overly pessimistic attitudes. I’ve always been pessimistic, and extremely sarcastic, so it fits the bill. Obviously we all want awesome work, cool bosses, awards(maybe), and the $$ that eventually comes from all that. But, you can definitely earn a decent living and notoriety being just somewhere mediocre, and producing ‘okay’ work and not the best. I’m certainly not the rockstar unicorn creative that all the recruiters drool for, but I’m bright enough to make things work.

My shift in focus is to my newly first born child and the kind of family and parents my husband and I want to raise and be. I’ll take the stability and check out early to be able to have more energy and care to give to them rather than clients who choose to produce “safe” work over and over again.
My company has also done an amazing job during this crazy year to keep people employed and I greatly appreciate them for that.
For sure! The safe work thing is what gets to me the most. I feel like it’s harder to find a client willing to take risks on potentially great ideas, than it is finding a job producing good work.
Definitely appreciate where I’m at considering all that happened across agencies this past year.
Big time. Recently made the shift to brand side as a result - very quickly realised that I wasn't getting back what I was putting in during my time in agencies. Now, I'm happier and healthier than ever and it shows.

People used to tell me how they were jealous of my passion for what I do. I seemingly was one of the very few people around our large org who willingly put in extra hours and and a lot of extra effort.
Long story short, here I am a few years later and I honestly don't think there are many people who care less about work than I do.
Same! I walked away from some really cool work for stability and a better work culture + more money. Nothing wrong with it and I’m much happier.
The times, they are a-changing.

It’s called picking your battles. Every creative learns it eventually.
Its fine- Get paid and in your free time make art. But a house make money to retire in Costa Rica. Whatever, its ok to make money and become an artist in artist outside of work. Because if you are trying to get creatively fullfilled by advertising you will be eternally frustrated.
