Opinions on Utilization goals?
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Never check a bag.
Agree with SM1, with the lone exception being if you’re on a long term project and will be going to the same location and hotel, you can check a bag and leave the checked bag at the hotel to have more stuff to make travel more comfortable.
Chief
1. Avoid security lines with strollers
2. Buy in 2s. Never empty travel bag for toiletries, gym shoes, etc so you never forget repacking
3. Catch sleep on flight when you can
4. Airplane food is overrated unless it’s morning breakfast
5. Find your limo/taxi guy so you don’t keep waiting in horrendous lines
6. Find your comfort travel time. I prefer late Monday night travel as higher probability of upgrades and emptier airports
7. Research hotel, airplane, and credit card memberships that are compatible together. This allows to boost membership points quicker
8. If you travel same location for longer duration project, keep extra stuff in bag at the hotel
9. Free food and free booze are recipe for bad health. Master the art of moderation.
10. Get into habit of regular workouts. Your body needs to be fit to cope with physical stress of travel
11. Get a humidifier for rooms. Most hotel rooms feel dry.

Also tip gracefully for room service and valet, and get to know your hotel staff. You will always be taken care of with best rooms and best service

You get on the plane. You got to hotel. You work. You get on the plane. You got home.
Bring small shampoos and conditioners because big ones are heavy.

Join Delta SkyMiles, and do a status challenge. Delta is far and away the best US airline, and is your best option wherever you live, even if you’re hub captive to one of the scrubs.
Join Marriott Bonvoy and also do a status challenge. SPG was a much better program, but you can find something under the Marriott umbrella anywhere, and the legacy SPG properties are usually still good (e.g., Westin, W, St Regis, Luxury Collection).
Buy the Briggs and Riley Baseline upright garment bag. It’s purpose built for white collar business travel, and has a lifetime warranty.
If your firm offers free TSA/Global Entry, get it ASAP.
If summer pack 2 blue shirts (if stained not obvious) if winter the shirt on you more than enough. If you’re dude no need shampoos. Find a hotel within your own rewards membership close by real gyms as hotel gyms sad. Source your own taxi/uber guy use same guys so not subjected to fluctuations in different experience. Pay attention to hotel happy hours can get free meals there
Become a Marriott Bonvoy member ASAP
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes on plane and change at airport or client cite.
Have a good noise canceling headphone.
Stay hydrated on the plane.
Have a nice travel backpack (with many pocks, look professional, not heavy, good to have shoe compartment, have water bottle holder on the side rather than inside) that can attach to your carry on handle.
Earplug, eye mask, neck rest on plane.
If you plan to stick around for awhile, then I would invest in good luggage. I was going through a samsonite once every 6-8 months because of the wear and tear and finally had to upgrade to one with a lifetime warranty.
For packing. I would try to stick to carry-on. If you’ll be continuously going to the same place then pack a large luggage and leave it at the hotel and then only bring the carry-on back and forth.
And look into consulting fast track options for hotel and airline status. And sign your card up for airline dining programs which is a nice little bonus.
How many suits do you all pack? Any carry on luggage recommendations that can comfortably pack suits?
Just the one on me nothing extra. Bonus point: wear dark gray suit when traveling. Wonders for hiding any stains!
Get green juice or carry some kind of powder green mix with you. Stay hydrated and moisturized.
Check if your firm has a site dedicated to boost your travel status. I recall being able to hit platinum with Delta in like a third of the time by signing up through a corporate promotion. Same with enterprise and some hotels have especial promos as well (this is done locally and you'll have to talk to the hotel manager). At one point I was making close to 30k points with Marriott for Monday through Friday stays.
