Non-attorney here. Do attorneys in Big 4 get paid higher than their CPA cohorts?

Ok attempt 2 at demystifying partner comp:

This Q is going to spark some debate. Are the following ranges for average comp for partner with 2-3 YOE accurate? (Not meant to diminish any firms!)

Group 1 - MBB, Tier 2 - Kearney, LEK etc, “deep specialists” - ZS, OW etc: $750k - $1.5M
Group 2: B4, “broad specialists” - Navigant, W. Monroe etc: $400-600K
Group 3: Regional - North Highland, Point B etc: $250-400K

Help me evaluate an industry offer for a B4 manager up for SM (got confirmation that I am thru the process). Current base is $171k .
$180k base, $35k sign-on bonus, full relocation, 35% bonus - 20% cash and 15% equity - 15% equity bonus is assured forever with 3 year vesting. Cash bonus fixed as long as rated average. Overall happy with offer but want to evaluate it against possible growth if I stay at B4.

What’s the difference in MBB partner pay vs. B4?

Hi guys. I recently moved from one big 4 to another as a fresh manager. I’ve been here a few months and have been working remotely, but I don’t think I’m getting the right coaching I need to climb up the ranks. One thing I’m looking to do is build relationships with Partners/MDs in other teams to get additional coaching from them. But I don’t know how or where to start as I’m totally new and inexperienced in this sort of thing. I’ll appreciate any thoughts on how I can do this effectively.

I’m looking to jump ship and is expected to pay back 100% of the legal fees for my green card application. How much is it typically? My case is super straight forward, PERM, EB-3 at a Big 4 from Accounting major

What are some good question to ask interviewers? I have an interview with one of the big 4 and haven't had an interview in ages, so I'm a bit rusty. Most of the suggestion I'm getting are stuff which can easily be answered by having a look at the company's website. I don't want to come off as if I haven't done my research by asking such questions.

How would you rate this offer:

Business valuations/litigation & support associate role at a boutique firm in Toronto:

- $90k base + ~7.5%, annual performance bonus, 4% RRSP matching
- $5k in clawback reimbursement
- will pay all professional fees throughout term of employment (CPA & CBV)

My background:
- SA1 in assurance at B4
- Master of Accounting
- passed CFE, qualify in less than half a year
- level 1-3 of CBV program of studies done
- 24 yrs old

Better to go Big 4 in Risk? I’m wondering if I’ll slow my growth staying at mid-size.

Had 4 or 5 rounds with a Big 4, all seemed to go great and the managing partner and I really clicked. They told me they’d be in touch very soon but had to wait for my law school transcript. It just arrived today. Anyone know what this means? Are transcripts required for an offer/decision? TIA!

I am currently a senior associate in M&A tax and was thinking about switching to the Office of Associate Chief Counsel in DC (i.e., IRS's national office and not a field office). Is it difficult to go to a big law firm or in-house from the IRS? I have heard stories where big law firms won't hire someone because he / she was in the government, but not sure if it is true for the Office of Associate Chief Counsel.
