MBB partners, i hear that unlike B4, MBB partners still have strict up or out so there aren’t that many long-time partners at the firm (which is different from B4, there are tons who retire here). For MBB partners who leave, which opportunity do they typically move to? There are not that many roles out there paying similar comp?
To all my FAAS colleagues out there.
Is 105k base salary asking to much for an S1 in Texas?

Does anyone know a starting salary range for general counsel for sports teams? (I’m thinking GCs for MLB/NBA/NFL teams.) I always assumed it was like $150k minimum but some of my friends guessed it was probably below 100k. Figured I’d ask if anyone knew!
I’m looking for a new job!! It has been impossible to build a good relationship with my manager, he isn’t transparent with me and never provides any constructive feedback so I have no idea how I’m performing. I recently asked for a raise since I completed all my assigned projects for this year plus a few that I took on due to resignations and was denied with no reason. I’m so checked out and looking for a new job and manager that I can learn from and will help me grow, any help is appreciated!

What’s the default hike % and bonus we get in HSBC if we join in September for GCB Band 5 role?
Hi Compensation 🐠Received 3 offers from Deloitte, Accenture and Workday but can’t decide in which direction to go in. They all are competitive offers and would be a good pay bump for me. If you had to choose from the offers below, which one would you choose?
ACN Offer: Base - 146K, Signon - 10K (Assoc Man)
Deloitte Offer: Base 148K, Sign on - 15K (SC)
Workday Offer: Base - 120K, Signon - 24K, 70RSUs
I just received an offer from Citi for VP 130k base no sign on bonus, 2 YOE in banking and 7 YOE outside of banking. Is this a good deal? Location, FL.
Hi Fish, does anyone here work for Travelers? The salaries on Glassdoor say the additional pay (bonus/stock/commission) for an AE is way above industry average. Anyone mind sharing their bonus% from last year?
I’ve been at my company for three years now and I haven’t had a single promotion. While others who have been hired after me have been promoted before me. I make $55k/yr but in these times I need to make around at least $80k. What are some things I can do to be recognized or should I start looking for another job?
Hi! I currently work in media planning and project management. Even though I’m an associate, I’m currently doing middle management responsibilities (but without the increase in pay). They keep pushing back raise evaluations, and I just don’t feel like I can trust them anymore. That being said, I enjoy the extra responsibilities of managing multiple projects and delegating with other teams. I was wondering if I could pivot my path into a project / product manager? Any tips would be appreciated 💙
If you boss asked you if you are looking for new opportunities (and you are) what would you say?
Confused. Which career is more lucrative Cybersecurity, Salesforce and AWS?
Order of lucrative?
Order of job security?
Or do you take certificates in all and then combine?
Any other thoughts?
What’s noteworthy? I only have meets!
Not trying to read too much into signs because I don’t want to get hopes up to be let down, but what does it mean that a recruiter follows up an email within 1hr not by email, but phone call with an update that I’m one of the two final candidates. I’m getting interview burnout during my job search and this being the first time a recruiter followed up by phone instead of email and quickly at that. When will I see the light at the end of the tunnel?
Thoughts on the recent biopharma market correction? (Admittedly its market-wide). Will this influence consulting firms in any way? Think DD work should remain the same (funds are still loaded with cash and might see discounts), market access is also fine. Not sure about g2m work or commercial. Thoughts?
Inflation costs are killing my pipeline. Many of my deals are scaling back greatly because of their rising operating costs.
How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?
They need our services, which is at least some job security, but their scale back is greatly affecting our projections and quota attainment.
I’ve been cured of my anxiety/OCD. Kind of afraid I went too far though..I went from obsessing about work to not giving a damn...I feel FREE!!!
Could I pull off asking my manager from J1 for approval of freelancing on the side? It’s quite common anyway for designers I think. And then my j2 can be “freelance” even though it’s full time?
*remembers unfinished project

Do you all have suggestions for an outfit for bringing my newborn home from the hospital? It will be December so probably want something with a hat, but I’m having a hard time finding anything that I think is cute enough! We’re having a boy but haven’t decided on a name so can’t do anything personalized. Thank you in advance!!
Its really good seeing people trying to help people who are in a tough position. we never know if we will find ourselves unemployed too. Stick together fishes.
I am applying to a full time position at the company where I am a contractor. Do you submit a cover letter? I was always recruited before so not sure what is expected nowadays. Also any tips what to include in CL?
Has anyone heard of the Siegfried Group? A recruiter reached out about a role there and it’s significantly more money. But I like working for a big firm
Chris Rock summing it up well here.

Does anyone have any insight on the interview process at Apple for the Legal Counsel roles? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
It’s worth a shot 😊
Anyone able to give me a referral for Facebook (Meta) or Google?
I am a paralegal with 8 years of experience in the legal industry (+ Fortune 500). I was just diagnosed with a serious health condition and I’m looking for new remote position, that is challenging and offering high pay and benefits. Facebook (Meta) & Google currently have openings for positions that align with my skills. I kind ask that you simply share some tips, if you are unable to offer a referral. THANKS!
For those who have worked at multiple FAANG companies, what are the biggest differences between them?
Looking for salary negotiation insight. Google L6, ACC position, 4 years experience. No offer yet (thanks hiring freeze!) but I was told to expect 182-196 base, 10-13% bonus, and RSUs, with total comp in mid-200s for years 1 and 2. Based on other threads and my research, this seems low. Thoughts? Tips for negotiation strategies? Any insight appreciated.
Hi! Can someone please let me know what the compensation package looks like for a commercial counsel in Equinix? Thanks!
Can anyone describe Amazon’s culture for an associate corporate counsel, based on team? I’ve read a number of comments on this app and across the internet about the company in general but the individuals never specify what team they’re referring to. I’ve heard from two corp counsel that AWS doesn’t have the best WLB but Prime Video does. I’d be interested to hear what this bowl has to add. The more data points I can gather before interviewing, the better.
Any insight into culture, expectations and wlb (as counsel) at Facebook/meta mpbile, ai, and connectivity team? Thanks in advance!
Anyone able to provide a referral for a legal role at Apple? If so, please message me. Thanks!
I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $350k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!

Any insight into jr-level associate legal counsel compensation at a public tech co in Austin? I’m not finding much online about lower-level salaries for in-house positions since they’re not as common as mid- or senior-level roles and am expecting an offer, but I’m not sure what’s a reasonable goal for salary negotiations.
I'm looking to switch from criminal prosecution to in house. I have a 13 year background in healthcare and white collar fraud investigations. I'm looking to limit litigation (I've tried enough cases) and hopefully increase pay switching from government.
I am getting summarily rejected from a lot of postings and I'm wondering if it's even possible to switch over. Anyone make the jump or have advice on doing work to make the transition?
