Trying to get some salary data. I’m a 2016 grad doing global litigation in house in a major metro area (NYC/DC/SF). My salary is $182K. My company says that I’m being paid above market and that doesn’t seem accurate. Could others share their details so I can either (1) push back more on salary; or (2) adjust my expectations.

Agree that’s a bit over market for your YOE generally. But they shouldn’t necessarily be comparing to the general market and should instead be comparing to the tech market which tends to be higher overall.

I don't think that's above market for your geog and yoe if you're at a tech company. That might barely be the lower band of mkt average for tech (nonfaang). Seems way below market for a faang. Fwiw I'm at non faang tech and 2016 grad and I'm 250 base + bonus + little equity

MBB partners, i hear that unlike B4, MBB partners still have strict up or out so there aren’t that many long-time partners at the firm (which is different from B4, there are tons who retire here). For MBB partners who leave, which opportunity do they typically move to? There are not that many roles out there paying similar comp?

Hi! I currently work in media planning and project management. Even though I’m an associate, I’m currently doing middle management responsibilities (but without the increase in pay). They keep pushing back raise evaluations, and I just don’t feel like I can trust them anymore. That being said, I enjoy the extra responsibilities of managing multiple projects and delegating with other teams. I was wondering if I could pivot my path into a project / product manager? Any tips would be appreciated 💙

Inflation costs are killing my pipeline. Many of my deals are scaling back greatly because of their rising operating costs.

How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?

They need our services, which is at least some job security, but their scale back is greatly affecting our projections and quota attainment.

I'm a first yr attorney at an insurance firm and am in the process of interviewing for an in-house position at a tech company. The position is pretty much generalist, but I get the impression I'd be working mostly on SaaS and partnership transactions. I definitely think I would like the transactional work better, but I am concerned about the long-term earning potential vs. partnership. How common is it to eventually make $350k+ in-house/how difficult is it to transition back to a firm? Thanks!
