IBM is lying about the higher levels of service. We went from a Porsche to a Kia when they took over.
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS SOMETHING. what a mess!
I came from GroupM, now in OMD. I can't believe agencies are doing this. It happened to my fav IT guy in GroupM too... I recently asked for an email alias to be created... Here's how it went:
30 days with no response, I followed up in-person, and the next day the ticket is CLOSED but still no email alias.
I start a live chat session on the support portal. Here's how it goes:
"Hi, sorry, I cant help you re-open the ticket, as the resolver marked it as solved"
"I can open a new ticket, if you'd like"
Me: "Let me get this straight - I waited for 30 days for this email alias and now you want to open a ticket for another 30 days wait? Now if you were me - does this sound like a solution?"
"Sorry. There's nothing I can do on my side."
Me: "Fine. Open the ticket. I'll also email this IT guy (names it dude). Is he the one who marked it as solved?"
"Yes.... sorry, I just realized I cannot open a ticket for you because it will be under my name not yours. so you will need to open a ticket again"
Me: (what I wished I said) "WHY DO YOU EVEN EXIST? IS THIS WHAT YOU GRADUATED FOR?"
Me: (what I really said): [long pause] "ok. fine."
After I dropped a nasty email to the IT dude and CCed his boss, email alias created in 4 hours.
F this support, seriously. cost cutting your people till this level.
Pro-tip: if you want a laptop fixed, just drop it outside the window and ask for a new one OR no work done till you get a new one. Problem solved.

That IBM would be cutting all of their salaries, and expecting a higher level of service.
Dealing with local IT vs the IBM call center (which most complaints/issues have to route through) in India is like night and day. And now my fave IT person is leaving :(
Guys, on the bright side, your in house IT guy didn’t completely erase your computer when trying to fix an issue. All. My. Files.... gone. Especially since we can’t use USB or cloud storage due to security. Bye bye the last 18 months of work.
