My agency is just now launching d and I but no talks of equity, how should equity begin to be discussed in a way that isn't some new foreign concept to agency with probably 3 to 5 pct black/Hispanic

Ah, got it. I think a good place to start is to rally a few of your colleagues and schedule a time to sit down with the new head and begin the conversation—get his insights as to what his remit is from leadership and engage in an open discussion as to the blind spots and challenges you see your agency having. The first 30, 60, 90 days should involve a host of open and honest conversations both between him and leaders and him and the agency at large, to prepare him to create actionable steps to address these concerns. Again, this is a marathon and not a sprint, so beginning these conversations is a significant first step.

New role announced, we now have someone who is leading this charge. There has never been such high visibility to the topic of diversity and inclusion. I don't know whats in the new leads head yet, he just started a month ago but feel like no one has mentioned equity in the context of diversity and inclusion, so what's a good way to introduce or help illustrate it in case it's not something they are thinking about?

The immigration firm(for the new company I’ve accepted offer from) reached out with a link to put in my details for H1 transfer. They specifically mentioned that they won’t support dependent immigration.

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?
