Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

The team I work with are a nightmare. Not collaborative and constantly trying to undermine the work. Bitter because they lost business to us. But I can’t apply that assessment across the group as a whole.
They're not a real agency. And their objects aren't that shiny. They do sites and banners for campaigns that AOR agencies did.
They pay well and support working (mostly) remote. Their AOR work is really sad (Zykadia and Tradjenta, for example, are good examples of pharma-fail creative.) But their digital tactics and analytics are pretty impressive.
Upper management is almost universally the most uninspiring, milquetoast group you’ll come across in agency life, though they’ve poached a few interesting people recently. But word is many of them aren’t happy there - big promises and little delivery, and it’s hard to change a culture at a big shop like that. They’re also not into NYC/LA agency types (loud, brash, confrontational) - it’s a very calm, Canadian culture but also very passive-aggressive.
They are hands down the most shamelessly self-promoting agency in the industry though (seriously, Michelle Obama at your “Muse” event? That’s trying just a little too hard).

Ditto to first comment. The people we work with have been awful for the entire relationship
Great feedback FCB2
