Not a very technically strong person but I can say with my last 6 years in tech sales that I'm pretty good in the sales aspect. What are the top companies to work for right now that have great products? I would love to work for Usergems or Nvidia and great companies like that but I've heard you need a lot of technical knowledge to land jobs in such places.

Hypo: client says they agreed to use a prior agreement another firm drafted as precedent for a new deal prior to engaging you. It’s maybe the most poorly written contact you’ve ever seen. Most material terms are arguably there, but it’s convoluted and you’d be embarrassed to put your name on it. There’s clearly a better way to draft it. To what extent do you re-write certain sections?

Just got a call about a 96k base:
/160k OTE role out of Plano TX

I’m intrigued but I want to know 2 things:
1. Culture/WLB - how is it?
2. Realistic market opportunity/opportunity to crush quota (obv dependent on many things)

Background: Currently making 95k/160k OTE at a boutique research and consulting firm. I’m happy but we’re extremely flat with little to no opp for promotion in the next 2+ years.

I have a family member that is really struggling to get by working retail and I’m trying to help him pivot into a career he is interested that I think will get him to a live-able wage if he’s patient. Average base pay for BDR/SDR in Tech silicon valley/bay area?

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.
