Therapy is a great starting point, as addressing a particular manifestation of the anxiety won’t solve the underlying unease. But if you’re going to get a wearable, then I would definitely recommend an oura ring.
Funny enough. I’m working with a sleep physics as an expert in my case. In addition to her clinical work, she has a research focus in fitness trackers and wearables. She started that patients with anxiety and sleep issues, she will have them first break up with any trackers. She explained they cause more anxiety and unless you are fully aware of the limitations on the wearables for a lot of patients it causes more anxiety and issues.

I have a whoop and love it. Tracks sleep, recovery, hrv, ect. I’m sure Oura does a lot of the same, but just another data point
The Oura ring is great for tracking stress and sleep. On Black Friday when combined with the Amex platinum credit, it was quite reasonable.
I love my Oura ring.
Apple Watch is better than oura ring IMO
I would even say that the only benefit of an Oura ring is if you’re someone who otherwise likes to wear analog watches. Otherwise Apple Watch is better for Apple Watch stuff and whoop is better for tracking stuff.
I have health anxiety as well and have gone through bouts when it has been pretty severe and also heart-focused. I would suggest staying far, far away from an Apple Watch or any other wearable that gives you real-time information at a glance. I had to give mine away just a few months after buying it because it made my health anxiety so much worse. That said, I’ve had an Oura ring for ~3 years now and have no issues with health anxiety related to the ring and would generally recommend it
I have an Oura ring and love it, but there’s a caveat. If you’re looking to use it to monitor stress, note that Oura is measuring your biometrics, not your mental health. My ring says I’m experiencing stress pretty much all the time, even if I feel relatively calm. Oura is measuring physiological stress, so things like caffeine or workouts or running around can all rate as periods of stress. It took me several months with the device before that stopped feeling really alarming (thus contributing to mental stress). There are tons of discussions on the Oura subreddit (r/ouraring). It may be worth your time to scroll through some of those and get a sense of others’ experiences. Good luck! I support your desire to manage this stuff — it’s one of the reasons I got an Oura ring, too. We are not in a friendly profession for us types who are prone to anxiety! Be well!
I’ve got a Whoop, it’s really helpful for monitoring daily stress and sleep

Apple Watch - get an ultra, try to make time to exercise or at least walk and move. Rings can get in the way, whoop is helpful for a week or two the repetitive.
Love my Fitbit Charge - I have concerns an about a ring when lifting weights anyway and some online sources say the watch is more accurate than a ring. Fitbit over Apple watch because I only have to charge it every like 8-8 days.
