Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. I’ve come to a point where I just started at the green dot on my laptop camera when talking. I want to do the Errol Morris interrotron to get some sort of connection. Quick PSA: one of the perks of going in-house, is that you’re no longer at an ad agency and all that that entails.

Just started a new in-house tech fl gig and it’s giving me whiplash! Somehow this dept has brought every person/toxic behavior from their old agency just to a new environment. Nowhere is perfect but good god. I honestly think companies/HR could learn a lot about their depts from freelancers.
