Offered two positions:
1- Accountant at 115K at privately held company, fast interview- only 15 minutes with assistant controller, they like me and HR contacted me the next day, but only 10 days PTO. I only report to the assistant controller. 3% 401k match, 90 days introductory period.

2- auditor job in government for 80K, they have nice benefits package, job security and stability. 7%401k and pension. Nicer benefits package.

common staff one mistakes?

Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?
