I've found that turning off notifications and not looking at the news more than 1-2x a day had helped with my sanity and anxiety. Knowing my whole immediate family is in my house with me helps too. (For anxiety, not productivity)
Just look at the first country who got mass infected with the virus - China. They are on the road to recovery now. Should be an inspiration if we do this right too.

Desiderata - Words for Life
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Always helps me to look at it when I’m feeling lost 💕✨
really recommend this book. I bought it right before coronavirus started, who knew it would be this timely. It’s about this new age of fear we’re leaving in being constantly connected
Relax, we will be through this. Stay safe, focus on the work, watch TV and spend time with family !!
Turning off the news and a meditation app. Trying to stay centered, positive and calm.
Me too
Think of what’s on your control - is there anything you can do that will affect the global situation? Helps set things in perspective.
I was really overwhelmed and getting depressed. I decided to stop watching the news and stay in quarantine & make sure my family is doing the same. I am (and my family is) safe by doing this, which has eased my stress. I put in lighthearted tv shows that make me happy. I downloaded a fitness app and streamed a dance class, which also made me feel better. Hopefully some of these tips help.
Tim Ferriss did a podcast with Jack Kornfield this week and the first 30-60 minutes is all about dealing with anxiety about the current crisis. I found it helpful.
We are all in this together. We will overcome this crisis.
Stay calm. Avoid reading news other than general daily updates. The media is cashing in hard on this situation.
Again: exercise the recommended precautions, and STAY CALM.
stressing yourself out is not going to change anything at all.
I’m only reading the news once per day. Tuning it out for the rest of the day is helping to keep me calm.
Social distancing does not have to mean emotional distancing. Find ways to communicate with loved ones during this time. If you are not quarantining alone use this time to emotional connect with those people. If not get on a phone, video call, write a letter. We don't have to be alone while we are apart.
As long as you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. You'll be just fine. Stay home and relax.
Don’t watch the news, keep music on, talk to friends and family. Keeping the news on will def add stress.
It may sound a little hokey, but I find meditation helps a lot with my anxiety. Ten minutes of meditating gives me a full day of being able to cope and a good night's sleep. I recommend Headspace (and here's a link for a 14-day trial should you want to give it a shot: https://www.headspace.com/invite/y91roxz)
Thank you for sharing :)
Turn off the news. Use your tech to stay connected in meaningful ways with family and friends. Create a routine and stick to it. If you are WFH, stay focused on work during work hours. When you’re not working, stay busy. Get some exercise. Read some books. Watch videos. Think of what you might be able to do to help others in some small way. Meditate. Breathe. You’ve got this!
I’ve got an oz of pandemic weed if you need some OP.
