There's been a lot of research on this, especially in Europe, that you should definitely cite and research as part of your argument. This is an exciting opportunity! I would do anything for a four-day work week. The hardest part about work is actually getting there. I would gladly spend an extra two hours per day working to have an entire day off. My husband has a four-day work week, and he's currently sleeping right now enjoying it 😆
You have to frame it as a benefit to the company, so really lean into how any benefits to employees translated into a boost for the company. The good news is that there is a ton of research on this and more reader-friendly papers synthesizing the data. Should make it easy to present your case. I wish you luck!

I would use the suggestions above regarding existing models in use across Europe. Additionally, I would conduct a survey of your company and confirm if employees have interest in such an offering. If they are interested, it would be good to ask the follow up as to why they are interested, what structure would appeal to them, and how they plan to address mid-day burnout of a 10-hour day. That last one tends to get overlooked quite a bit, but it is one that has serious impact on them mentally.
Good luck, let us know how it goes and whether it will be implemented?
Research has shown that employees are often more productive when they have longer periods of uninterrupted time to focus on their work. With a four day work model employees can have three full days to dive deep into their tasks without the distractions of daily commutes or office interruptions. Maybe you could use those researches to back you up.
