6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

Looking for some encouragement. Has anyone here received an overall negative performance review or has been put on a development/performance plan and was able to turn things around for the better?

New to US. Which brokers offer best margin accounts? For e.g. I have equities worth $100K and want to trade options. Is there a broker where I can do so without paying more in collateral money - essentially using stocks as collateral, and also not paying margin interest. Damon as a character vs. Jamie Lannister? They seem like somewhat analogous characters from the two shows. I feel like a lot of people want Damon to have a similar redemptive arc, but it doesn’t seem likely.

My thoughts are he’s just a generally bad person with some decent qualities. Jamie meanwhile was a generally good person who did many terrible things, especially when we met him.

The last episode was a snooze fest. After Daemon’s stupid storming of the caves, this was a new low in the series. 1 hour of literally nothing happening except sanctimonious virtue signaling and puzzling logic (Alicent is just forgiven for going behind her back and burrowing her way to Queen consort? Daemon just meekly listening to his brother after those theatrics/heroics in the previous episodes? The king suddenly realizing with perfect clarity how he’s been manipulated by his hand?).

What is this bullsh** plot?? I was enjoying the show but then the Aegon / Aegon confusion happened. Like yeah sure, reusing the same names 5 times is asking for it, but come on

The new actors are amazing, much better than the younger ones. The older Rhaenyra in particular is wonderful!
