Applied for a CMAAS position at PwC and immediately got a rejection email like 1 hour later lol. Figured it got flagged for something but not sure exactly what. Anybody here from CMAAS willing to chat? Very interested in experienced associate positions. Thanks!

Transfer to audit first then go for aas

Hiring is slowed and probably not looking for people. I have friends who work within pwc trying to transfer and recruiters have even started ghosting even with a partner referral.

like

Dang that’s rough. Job app shows it was just opened yesterday which is weird. I applied through internal referral, but immediately got rejected one hour later lol. Hoping your buddies make it through!

I was a tier 1 and tried to transfer internally as a senior. Went through all 3 rounds of interviews and got rejected due to no deals experience. This was back in July when recession wasn't a certainty. CMAAS is very selective

like

Don’t think so, LinkedIn some of associates and some of them have literally no internship experience besides school clubs.

I spent 6 yrs at CMAAS. Spent some time doing AA at an IB in NY and now at RSM. Happy to chat if you're still looking.

Please who knows about the advisory practice within the PwC financial crime unit (Canada Acceleration Centre)? I understand it is a client non-facing advisory role. Would it be a good career decision for someone coming from GRC firms like Kroll, Control Risk or Exiger? I am concerned about the negative reviews relating to the PwC acceleration centres in general, and getting stuck in a role which does not provide growth opportunities. Thank you.

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

Hi all,

I would like to hear out your opinions on internal salary negotiations at the back of promotion.

I'm a Business Analyst with over 10 years experience, been in the same company for the whole time, Currently, I'm below Average Industry standards by approx. 10% for my (current) role.

I have applied for internal job which is effectively one level above, meaning it would be a promotion.

I got the job, awaiting offer.

So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). Does this make any sense? I mean where does this sense of entitlement or ownership over the employees come from? No wonder the company in question is kind of facing a literal exodus!
