I stumbled on this article a while back because I'm in the same position that you are, have been working out a lot and finding it hard to keep up my hair in the process. Maybe some of the products or style suggestions in here will help you https://central.gymshark.com/article/workout-tips-for-curly-hair-6-protective-hairstyles-for-the-gym
Check out this product at Sephora.com - COLOR WOW Extra Strength Dream Coat Ultra-Moisturizing Anti-frizz Treatment - 6.7 oz / 200 ml https://www.sephora.com/product/extra-strength-dream-coat-ultra-moisturizing-anti-frizz-treatment-P506465
2-strand twists or mini twists with your natural hair could be a good protective style. I work out a lot, and the twists tend to last for 3-4 weeks for me. I could probably wear them a little longer, but I don't want my hair to accidentally loc. The twists are low maintenance too!
